CeraPhi Energy Geothermal Delivery Company Adds Texas Commercial Expert

26 April 2021

London and Houston – April 27, 2021 – Geothermal delivery company CeraPhi Energy announced that Lafayette Herring has joined CeraPhi U.S. operations. Herring, an experienced energy project developer, will serve as the company’s Houston-based Senior Commercial Advisor bringing regional energy market and asset development expertise to the advancement and implementation of CeraPhi Energy’s clean energy solutions in the U.S. and Latin America.

“Lafayette brings CeraPhi energy extensive development experience and skills that fit perfectly with our mission and view of the market opportunity,” said Karl Farrow, CEO of CeraPhi Energy, based in Great Yarmouth, UK.

“Given the hybrid nature of CeraPhi’s geothermal solutions, Lafayette’s diverse background in U.S. and global downstream energy markets and project development perfectly complements the CeraPhi team’s deep technical expertise.”

Herring is already rapidly advancing CeraPhi’s U.S. strategy.

“CeraPhi Energy has developed break-through technical solutions and a business model that will transform our global energy options into the future, and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to roll-up my sleeves as a member of the CeraPhi Energy team,” Herring said. “We can deliver on the company’s mission of untapping the ‘heat beneath our feat’ with ‘plug and play’ solutions and robust commercial potential.”

Farrow added that Lafayette also brings specific geothermal experience to the mission. “Over a decade ago Lafayette worked on a unique Texas-based geothermal initiative,” he said. “While much has evolved since then, including CeraPhi’s technical innovations, Lafayette’s fundamentally deep understanding of geothermal energy will help the company deliver the full value of our proposition to communities and stakeholders.”

In Texas and beyond, CeraPhi is aggressively pursuing clean energy from abandoned or end-of-life oil and gas resources. This initiative will serve to renew and extend the value of oil and gas assets while relying upon the existing skilled labor force that installs and operates infrastructure across the historic Texas oil patch. This focus is one element of the CeraPhi mission to develop the market and environmental value of clean base-load, reliable, sustainable, renewable energy.
